Welcome to Gaming Society's ranking of the top-100 players in WNBA fantasy basketball! Like the note above said, this is not a list of the best basketball players, this is for fantasy sports!
If you aren't sure what fantasy sports are all about, I wrote about that here! And if you want to see how players performed last year in ESPN's first-ever WNBA fantasy leagues, you can read that here! Also, my top-50 guards are here, and my top-50 forward & centers are here.
As a basic reminder, fantasy WNBA is scored with a points system.
For standard leagues:
1 point on the court = 1 point in fantasy
1 rebound = 1 point
1 assist = 1 point
1 steal = 1 point
1 block = 2 points
1 3-pointer = 1 point
Without further adieu, here is my top-100 ranking, based on how players performed last year, and how I think they'll play this year given roster changes. I tried my hardest with this. One hundred players are a lot! So feel free to tell me where I went wrong, but please be nice. Thank you!
Actually, one more further adieu. Also coming soon: Gaming Society's fantasy draft featuring WNBA All-Star/Gaming Society VP of Business Marissa Coleman, Flagrant magazine editor-in-chief Ashtyn Butoso, Queens of the Court podcast co-host and freelance writer Jordan Ligons Robinson, Homefield apparel director of content Whitney Medworth, Gaming Society social producer Ciara Mountains and also me, Matt.
