He’s Finally Out Of The Woods

We couldn’t write a more fitting return for Tiger to the greens than the PNC Championship father-son tournament 10 months following Woods’ single-car accident.

El Tigre hasn’t competed in a major event since last year’s PNC after suffering major injuries to his right leg, which put the remainder of his career in question. Now, our only question is who else is excited for the 15-time major champions’ bounce-back?

Tiger, and his 12-year-old cub, Charliewill team up for 36-hole event that matches major champions with family members on Saturday and Sunday at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club. The Woods duo hold the fourth-best odds to win it all at +1000 (bet $100 → $1,000).

The format of play is a scramble, also known as best-ball, where each pairing hits their tee shots, selecting the best one, which continues throughout the duration of the hole.

This year we’ve also got a father-daughter pairing in the mix! LPGA world No. 1 Nelly Korda makes her debut with her dad and 1998 Australian Open tennis major Petr Korda (+1600).

The 2020 victors were Justin Thomas and his pops, Mike Thomas, and the twosome lead the way at the sportsbook at +180 to run it back.

At last year’s competition, the Woods team finished seventh, but all the attention was – and still is – on them. I mean, c’mon, who could stop talking about this video of Tiger Woods and his mini-me?!

From the nose scratch to the club twirl, down to the celebratory fist pump, the two are identical.

We’re not sure we’d bet on the Woods to hoist the trophy, but we sure bet they will be must-see T.V.!
