I’ve been thinking about the absurdity of Trinity Rodman’s game-winning cross-pitch pass to Kelley O’Hara ever since the 19-year-old helped the Washington Spirit win their first-ever NWSL championship Saturday, because it’s video game-perfect. This was a legend’s play made by the youngest player in the league to set up the oldest to ever score in the league Final… to win the whole damn thing.

I can’t stress enough that Rodman earned Rookie of the Year, and probably should have been in MVP consideration as a teen. She can already cross off some of the game’s biggest achievements and she’s just getting started. To best explain the Spirit’s and NWSL stans’ excitement:

There are a million reasons to be excited about the future of the NWSL and Rodman’s prowess is definitely up there.
