Welcome back, women's college basketball fans. After a long break, our faves are back and beating up some inferior opponents.

That's what happens in the first weeks of every college basketball season, as the best teams schedule against easy non-conference opponents to serve as a form of preseason.

On Monday, a bunch of the top teams proved why they're ranked as such. Here they are, from smallest to biggest wins.

No. 17 Maryland 88, George Mason 51

A 37-point differential only tied the Terps for the 10th-biggest win of all top 25 teams.

Do better next time.

Key performer: Potential WNBA lottery pick Diamond Miller left in the second quarter to a knee injury that isn't considered to be serious. She scored 11 points in nine minutes.

No. 10 NC State 82, Quinnipiac 45

Another 37-point win saw one of last year's No. 1 seeds pick up where it left off — well, prior to its Sweet 16 knockout.

Key performer: Senior Jada Boyd scored 14 points on a perfect 4-of-4 shooting in 20 minutes.

No. 2 Stanford 86, San Diego State 48

Last year's runner-up might be the best chance to stop South Carolina from a repeat.

Key performer: Junior Cameron Brink scored 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting with eight rebounds, six blocks and three assists in just 20 minutes.

No. 18 Baylor 88, Lamar 50

No NaLyssa Smith, but Baylor is still a problem.

Key performer: Senior Aijha Blackwell scored 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting in 24 minutes.

No. 9 Notre Dame 88, Northern Illinois 48

Is this the year Olivia Miles *really* takes things over?

Key performer: You guessed it, Olivia Miles. She scored 17 points on 5-of-14 shooting with 10 rebounds, six assists, six steals and a block in 29 minutes.

No. 20 Oregon 100, Northwestern 57

We're long past the Sabrina Ionescu and Satou Sabally days, and even with Sedona Prince sidelined, the Ducks have big-time talent.

Key performer: Freshman Grace VanSlooten, ranked No. 13 in the nation, scored 20 points on 10-of-16 shooting in her debut.

No. 4 Iowa 87, Southern 34

You know who I'm about to talk about.

Key performer: Caitlin Clark scored 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting with three 3-points and nine rebounds in 20 minutes.

No. 13 Virginia Tech 101, Mount St. Mary's 45

Somehow, there were three worse blowouts.

Key performer: Senior Cayla King poured in 33 points on nine made 3-pointers in just 24 minutes.

No. 22 Nebraska 100, Omaha 36

Cornhuskers season! The battle of Nebraskan teams was anything but.

Key performer: Junior Isabelle Bourne scored 21 points on 10-of-15 shooting with nine rebounds in just 22 minutes.

No. 1 South Carolina 101, East Tennessee State 31

If you were waiting on last year's champs to top this list I don't blame you. Most of that team is back in action for a chance to run things back. They won by a mere 70 points this time, though. (And yes, their opponent scored just six points in the first, second and fourth quarters.)

Key performer: Senior Zia Cooke poured in 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting in 19 minutes. (Aliyah Boston double-doubled with 11 points and 11 boards in 20 minutes.)

No. 16 LSU 125, Bellarmine 50

The biggest blowout of the evening belonged to the Tigers over a private school in Louisville with less than 4,000 students. Their 125 points were the most ever in program history.

Key performer: New transfer from Maryland, Angel Reese, dominated with 31 points on 11-of-14 shooting with 13 rebounds, four steals, two assists, and two blocks in just 24 minutes.
