Good morning and welcome to our Super Bowl Sunday! We’re really getting a South Carolina vs. UConn, Aliyah Boston vs. Paige Bueckers, and Dawn Staley vs. Geno Auriemma national championship game.

To put this into context: OH MY GOD. Two of the best programs of the last two decades, each equipped with one of the last two National Player of the Year award winners (Boston ‘22, Bueckers ‘21), are going to battle it out for the trophy!!

This is Staley’s second trip to the title game, winning her first in 2018. Auriemma’s making his 12th appearance, winning the other 11. Someone is going home a loser for the first time.

Logic and the sportsbooks say it’ll be the Huskies going home empty-handed, and we know this because the spread is set at -4, meaning South Carolina is expected to win by four points

The Gamecocks are 34-2 on the season, and have owned the No. 1 spot in the rankings all year long for good reason. They have the most dominant post presence in the country, a suffocating defense and flamethrowers from distance. I mean, South Carolina’s won the Elite Eight and Final Four by a combined 43 points!!

That’s why we’re siding with Staley, Boston, Zia Cooke, Destanni Henderson and the Gamecocks to cover the spread by beating the Huskies by five or more points to earn their second national title.

🥳  Betting on South Carolina to cover the spread is fun because…

  • What’s better than rooting for the best team with the best player in the country and an ICONIC coach?
  • Did you see what SC did to Louisville? 😅
  • Aliyah Boston has 29 double-doubles. Who the heck is stopping her?!

🧐  Betting on South Carolina to cover the spread is smart because…

  • They’ve dominated this entire tournament, with just one single digit victory (8 vs. North Carolina)
  • The Gamecocks’ net rating is 7.2 points per 100 possessions better than the Huskies’
  • These teams played in November. South Carolina dominated by 16 points 😤
