It’s nearly conference tournament time, and for all you basketball casuals, now’s your moment to study up on the most important players in men’s college hoops.

03.03 GS - The sportsbook’s top-3 men’s college basketball players

If a lot of these names are, well, new, it’s not your fault! It’s been a looong year, and also, none of these guys are projected top-5 NBA picks! Go figure!?

Anyway, let’s run down the sportsbook’s top three Player of the Year candidates.

1. Oscar Tshiebwe -280 (bet $280 to win $100)

Team: Kentucky (24-6)

Height: 6’9

Year: Junior

Stats: 16.9 points on 60.2% shooting, 15.3 rebounds

Best Skill: Finishing around the rim

NBA Draft projection: Second round

Takeaway: Kentucky’s known for its one-and-dones, but in his third year, Tshiebwe is the breakout star and a near-surefire wager to win Player of the Year

2. Johnny Davis +1000 (bet $100 to win $1,000)

Team: Wisconsin (24-5)

Height: 6’5

Year: Sophomore

Stats: 20.3 points on 44.1% shooting, 8.3 rebounds

Best Skill: Scoring off-the-dribble

NBA Draft projection: Top-10

Takeaway: Davis is arguably the best NBA prospect of this group who can create his own offense with quick moves and bursts at the rim

Keegan Muray +1200 (bet $100 to win $1,200)

Team: Iowa (21-8)

Height: 6’8

Year: Sophomore

Stats: 23.3 points on 56.1% shooting, 8.6 rebounds

Best Skill: 3-point shooting

NBA Draft projection: Top-10

Takeaway: The fourth-leading scorer in the country has starred in Iowa’s lead role with thirteen, 25+ point games. Look out for Murray to be household name this month
