1. Is Chicago's Kahleah Copper the most unguardable wing in the league?
Last year’s Finals MVP took a GIGANTIC leap and scored 18.6 points on 53.5% shooting as the Sky’s go-to scorer to close out Phoenix, and now, she’s coming off a EuroLeague season where she dropped 21.4 points per night for Avenida. Copper looks like a perennial All-Star. If she can maintain production anywhere near it, Chicago is going to be tough to beat… again.
2. Is Tina Charles the perfect fit in Phoenix?
The Mercury need to figure out how to find basketball success without Brittney Griner, and and a lot will fall on Charles. The 6’4 big scored a career-high 23.4 points per game last season, and will need to keep her foot on the gas to propel Phoenix towards another Finals run.
3. Is Courtney Williams' return what Connecticut needed?
The Sun dominated the 2021 regular season but left a lot to be desired against the Sky in the semifinals. Will bringing back the slashing off-ball guard help raise their ceiling?
4. Will Becky Hammon's offense unlock Vegas's potential?
Hammon will be welcomed with lofty expectations leading a team with title aspirations. We know the Aces can defend, but can they up their scoring game to match?
5. Is Elena Delle Donne healthy enough to play a whole season?
Things in D.C. are pretty simple: if Delle Donne can play, they’ll be a threat. So far, so good after Game 1 of preseason where she scored 21 points in 17 minutes. Will she keep that up for the summer?
6. Can Seattle cement its dynasty with new additions?
Three titles in six years is a dynasty, right? That’s what the Storm are looking at if the Big 3 of Sue Bird, Jewell Loyd and Breanna Stewart can bring another one home. They have the pieces if everyone stays healthy. Gabby Williams and Briann January are big-time adds.
