The NBA Christmas Day schedule is out thanks to some leaks by resident basketball gossip man Shams Charania of The Athletic, and there will be four super competitive games played as well as one featuring the Knicks.

Let’s get to it. Here is each matchup in no particular order since the times were not announced:

  • Bucks at. Celtics

  • 76ers at Knicks

  • Suns at Nuggets

  • Lakers at Mavericks

  • Grizzlies at Warriors

Now here’s one thought I have about each series.

Grizzlies vs. Warriors is going to be the spiciest game

After the teams’ testy playoff series earlier this year, players on both sides took shots at each other on Twitter and through interviews. That led Ja Morant to tweet “we got what we wanted dray.” at Draymond Green once the leak was made that Memphis would travel to Golden State on Christmas Day. Expect lots of unnecessary shoves and words while the point guards go for 50.

76ers vs. Knicks will be the game it’s ok to miss

I’ll save you some time. The Knicks lost.

Lakers vs. Mavericks will be all about how bad L.A. is

We’ll be about 10 weeks into the season at that point, and to date, Russell Westbrook is still on a team he doesn’t fit well on. I don’t see how the Lakers will be much better than when we left them.

Bucks vs. Celtics is going to end with tremendous hyperbole

No matter which team wins, they will become the most likely to win the Eastern Conference and maybe the championship. We will talk about this result more than anyone needs to, which is once.

Suns vs. Nuggets is going to be the good game

Chris Paul, Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton (maybe KD?) vs. Nikola Jokic and a recovered Michael Porter Jr. and Jamal Murray. This is a game for hoops fans!

Bonus: We’ll complain about the NFL playing on Christmas, too
