Lou Lopez Senechal might be the draft’s best shooter, and that skill is one every team in the WNBA is looking for, especially the Dallas Wings which selected her No. 5 overall. In her fifth year at UConn, she made an extremely impressive 77-of-175 attempts (44%), in off-the-dribble and on catch-and-shoot situations. She’s also an active cutter.
Lopez Senechal might be the oldest player in the draft, but unlike the NBA draft, it’s not seen as a knock in the WNBA. Experience is a currency, and most of the league is trying to win every year. Plus, there isn’t much room on a roster for development.

Lou Lopez Senechal’s ceiling: Starter
Lou Lopez Senechal’s final season by the numbers: 15.5 points per game, 47.6 % FG, 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.3 blocks, 2.0 turnovers, 44.0 3-point %, 85.4 FT%
Sharp. Shooter. I guarantee your team needs more of this, and coming from a 6-foot-1 guard makes it that much more valuable. Lopez Senechal is really good at one thing, and in a league that needs you to provide something great every night, there’s a good chance she sticks.
