NFL Week 1: Forget Teddy Bears, We’re Talking Teddy Covers
Teddy Bridgewater and the Broncos will travel to MetLife to challenge Daniel Jones in Week 1.

Denver head coach Vic Fangio named Bridgewater the starter over an inconsistent Drew Lock to lead an offense full of firepower. Teddy two-gloves lines up alongside WRs Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy with TE Noah Fant ready and waiting.
The Broncos are favored by a field goal (-3), which could be appealing to bettors who have stood by Bridgewater. In games he’s started – for Minnesota, New Orleans and Carolina – he’s earned a 26-23 win-loss record. That’s solidly okay.
Against the spread, however, he boasts a whopping 36-14 (72% winning percentage). For reference, Patrick Mahomes over the same timespan is 31-21-2 ATS (57%).
It’s worth noting the line prior to Bridgewater being named QB1 was DEN -1.5. That means once Bridgewater’s role was revealed, enough bets came in on the Broncos to force the sportsbooks to make it a touch more difficult for Denver to win.

Tip of the day
If you had bet $100 on every Teddy Covers start in his NFL career you’d have earned $1,881.50 to date! Meanwhile, Giants QB Daniel Jones has an abysmal 8-18 win-loss record and is just 13-13 ATS. Sometimes it’s worth following the trend, if there’s proof in the numbers.
