NFL Week 2: Chargers-Cowboys Could Be A Shootout

Forget Jerry’s World, the Dallas Cowboys head to Hollywood to challenge the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium on Sunday

NFL Week 2 Chargers Cowboys Could Be A Shootout

Expect fireworks in an epic shootout between two of the hottest gunslingers in the NFL, Dak Prescott and Justin Herbert.

Prescott tossed the pigskin 58 times in a narrow defeat against Tampa Bay in Week 1. The Cowboys QB currently leads the league in completions (47) and sits second in passing yards (403).

Go-to targets, Amari Cooper (139) CeeDee Lamb (104) rank third and ninth respectively in receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Herbert threw 47 times in his first appearance under new coach Brandon Staley and new OC Joe Lombardi. The second-year QB finished with the sixth-most completions (31) in Week 1 and is tied for sixth with Patrick Mahomes in passing yards (337).

His top option, WR1 Keenan Allen, sits No. 11 in the league with 100 receiving yards.

There’s a reason the point total for the contest in LA LA Land is set at a whopping 54.5.

The Chargers-Cowboys forecast: tons of yards, passes and scoring opportunities. The two teams combined for 875 yards and 49 total points on Sunday — and remember L.A. was going up against a Tier 1 Washington defense, according to PFF. With the Cowboys defense still finding their footing, consider betting the over.
