Mike Vick is a fan of Malik Willis, the Liberty quarterback and my top-ranked passer for the 2022 draft class. But Vick, like NFL evaluators, also acknowledged the talent of Ole Miss QB Matt Corral.
Lucky for us, we get to see Willis and Corral on the same field this Saturday as Liberty takes on Ole Miss. Evaluators from 22 NFL teams will be in attendance to watch the favorites among QBs for the No. 1 overall selection. It promises to be a duel of two athletic, dual-threat, playmaking QBs no matter the difference in talent between the two rosters.
The odds right now favor Corral (+300, bet $100 → $300) as the favorite among QBs to be selected first overall and there’s a good reason for that. The tale of the tape on Corral is impressive:
6’1, 205 lbs
15:2 TD-to-INT ratio 2021
10 rushing TDs; including 195 yard rushing game (vs. TEN)
Impressive foot quickness, decision-making, accuracy and overall athleticism
Not to be outdone, Willis is an athlete in the Kyler Murray-mold. He currently ranks as my QB1 and a top 15 overall player with +500 (bet $100 → win $500) odds to be the No. 1 overall pick. What’s his scouting report look like?
6’1”, 215 lbs
21:6 TD-to-INT ratio
9 rushing TDs; back-to-back seasons over 600 rushing yards
Big-armed, fast, explosive and ELUSIVE
