Despite a loss to the Chiefs on Sunday night, the Titans are still a pretty good team. They stand 5-3 with a 2.5 game lead in a pathetic AFC South. But is anyone really buying them as a contender? (FanDuel's +3700 odds aka bet $10 to win $37 says no.)
The L to Patrick Mahomes kinda showed why Tennessee can't be taken seriously. Sure, Ryan Tannehill was sidelined to injury and a rookie QB Malik Willis ran the offense, but even if Tannehill played ... who aside from Derrick Henry is making things happen?
Henry's scored nine of the team's 17 touchdowns this season and rushed for 870 yards, the most in the entire NFL. King Henry is so so good even at 28 years old (which is football old), and honestly, deserves better. This man deserves the opportunity to win a ring!
In the meantime, he's already set the Titans' record for most rushing touchdowns ever with his 74th last weekend, and will continue to pad his numbers towards a Hall of Fame career.
Next victim? Russell Wilson's Broncos.
Derrick Henry leads the league in rushing attempts at 183 this season, 20 more than Saquon Barkley
Only Nick Chubb (10) has more rushing touchdowns than Henry this year
The Titans are tied for a league-worst six passing touchdowns and have thrown for the fewest passing yards
