If you know me at all, you know I live my life like an open book. I'm honest. I have no shame. I have no secrets. I'll offer up anything. Honestly, it's probably kind of obnoxious. I might be in contention to win the "Nobody Asked for that Info" award, if it actually existed. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I know what it was like to live my life hiding in plain sight. When I finally grew up, I said, "NO MORE," and let it all out, continuing to live that way into my 30s.
There is one piece of information that I don't offer up as easily, however. I'm not ashamed, exactly. That's not the right word. I do know that, when I share this certain piece of information, I get the "side eye" and it makes me uncomfortable.
That big secret? I LOVE Pizza Hut. For real. It's my favorite pizza. Give me a medium pan pizza with cheese from Pizza Hut, and I'm in my absolute GLORY. Their cheese is honestly from another planet. How do they make it so gooey and delicious? Oh, and don't even get me started on the crust. What magical dust (it's probably — no, almost definitely — grease) do they sprinkle that with to achieve the perfect crisp?
(This isn't a paid ad, I promise. But, Pizza Hut, I am totally available for endorsements — just hit me up on Twitter.)
ANYWAY.
I'm a bit late to this, but during the Philadelphia Eagles bye week (No. 1 seed, baby!), HC Nick Sirianni understandably was tuning into the game. He had to scout his post-bye week opponent, after all. His meal of choice as he did so? PIZZA HUT.
THAT'S RIGHT. NICK SIRIANNI. HEAD COACH FOR MY NEW FAVORITE TEAM, THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES, ATE PIZZA HUT, AND HE LET THE WORLD KNOW ABOUT IT.
This might just be a total ploy to bait Giants fans. We know that New Yorkers (or, let's be real — New Jersey-ians) are extremely passionate when it comes to their pizza. They know that New York-style pizza (thin, big, and floppy) is the only way to eat a "pie". They know that folding your slice of pizza in half (hot dog style, not hamburger style) is the only way to experience a real New York slice for a double layer of goodness.
New Yorkers are elitists when it comes to their pizza. So, the notion that the head coach for their soon-to-be opponent in the Divisional Round was eating Pizza Hut? It was an absolute slap in the face.
I'm ALL. IN. on the Eagles to win Super Bowl LVII now. Nick Sirianni, a man of the commoner's pizza, is my new favorite human. If Philly does win the Super Bowl, I'll eat an entire Pizza Hut medium cheese pan pizza by myself to celebrate. Who's with me?
Bet on the Eagles to make it to Super Bowl LVII with Gaming Society's Bet Club! Can they win at home over the 49ers?
