When Jim Irsay made the shocking decision to hire former TV correspondent Jeff Saturday as his interim head coach, many in the sports media market were surprised. Disappointed. Enraged even.

Not us. No sir.

We always had Jeff Saturday's back. We even made a social media post vocalizing our support. Please take our word for it and don't click that link.

Saturday proved us all right on Sunday and now has the best winning percentage in Indianapolis history. Taking down the Raiders however, was not a tall task. Saturday himself even expressed confidence weeks before their matchup.

This week is a bit different.

Jeff faces Nick Sirianni, whom the sportsbooks have as the favorite for Coach of the Year. Formerly immobile Matt Ryan will go throw for throw against an MVP candidate in Jalen Hurts. The Colts will need every ounce of wisdom that Jeff Saturday possesses in order to triumph against the Eagles.

Much like Elder Price, I believe Jeff Saturday is the man for the job.

(til he loses, then it's back to the Haterade)
