Things aren’t so good in Arizona right now. 

The disappointing Cardinals sit at the bottom of their division and Kliff Kingsbury’s seat is as hot as he is (obligatory Kliff Kingsbury is attractive mention). A loss this weekend at the division-rival Rams could very well result in his dismissal.

...Which is perfect timing with Hard Knocks debuting this week! Say what you will about House of the Dragon’s meandering plot, HBO still knows how to capture drama. 

While winning this game probably won’t result in the Rams or the Cardinals making the playoffs, losing it will all but assure that they won’t. The Rams are coming off a Super Bowl, which eases the pain somewhat. But the Cardinals — after investing hundreds of millions and countless draft picks in their offense — are going through it. 

Over the years, we’ve seen so many players cuts on Hard Knocks. As morbid as it sounds, it’s easily the most interesting part of the show.
