There’s a lot of discussion surrounding the quarterback position when the Texans face the Browns this weekend.
Of course, this is all for good reason because Kyle Allen — that’s right, the Kyle Allen — will be starting at quarterback for Houston.
We’re certain scores of NFL fans will be glued to their TVs to watch Allen, who has never played on a winning team but also has never been suspended multiple seasons due to horrific accusations.
Allen took over the Texans' starting quarterback role for Davis Mills as the team is in the midst of a six-game losing streak. Things didn’t work out so well in his first action, a 30-15 loss to the Dolphins. But it could have been worse. At least he didn’t create a dark cloud over the franchise that it hasn’t been able to shake and likely won’t be able to for years to come. You know, as some want to do.
Kyle Allen, with his 4.2 QBR on the season, might not seem like the biggest draw for the average fan. But he’s the only quarterback we have any interest in watching this weekend when the Texans play against the Browns.
