The Minnesota Vikings are 10-2. That record might have kept them out of a college football playoff for unworthy TCU, but it puts them in the Super Bowl conversation in the NFL.

So why are they underdogs this week against the Detroit Lions?

Before continuing, if you need a brush up on what the point spread is, head on over to the Betting Academy to learn all the tools to become a better bettor.

The Lions are cute. We've all seen the Dan Campbell hype speeches and have been wowed by the greatness of Amon-Ra St. Brown. NFL fans are happy to see the Honolulu Blue jerseys play competitively versus being your father's Houston Texans.

But they're not better than the Minnesota Vikings.

They're just not.

The Vikings are boring. We've all seen Kirk Cousins piss his pants in primetime and have rolled our eyes when the "Eff it, JJ down there somewhere" plan works out in their favor. They've won 17 straight games by one score via an opponent's mistake (this stat was not researched).

But they're not worse than the Detroit Lions.

Right?

...right?
