Odell Beckham Jr. is a player the general public cares very much about. Because of this, we have decided to write an article about him. This is that article, which, to be clear, is about Odell Beckham Jr.
No question about it, by definition and for SEO purposes Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the receivers in the NFL.
In his past two injury-plagued seasons, Odell Beckham Jr. averaged 435 receiving yards. This puts Odell Beckham Jr. in the company of players such as Zach Pascal and Keelan Cole. However, neither of these players have attended a Met Gala. And thus this article is not about them. It is about Odell Beckham Jr.
It has been reported that many teams — most prominently the Dallas Cowboys — are clamoring for Odell Beckham Jr. to bolster their roster going into the second half of the season. On one hand, Odell Beckham Jr. did play really well for the Rams in the playoffs last season, including 123 yards receiving in the NFC championship and a touchdown in LA’s Super Bowl victory.
On the other hand, Odell Beckham Jr., now age 30, is six (6) years removed from his last Pro Bowl appearance in 2016.
And he tore his ACL in his left knee during that Super Bowl victory, his second tear in his left knee in three years.
And there was that time he posted a picture with his teammates on a Miami boat trip ahead of their Wild Card matchup against the Packers. Which they lost. And the Giants haven’t made the playoffs since.
And that time he basically said Eli Manning was old and sucked at throwing. This was actually pretty accurate analysis at the time for the most part, so kudos there.
And there was the time his dad (Odell Beckham Sr.) posted an Instagram video of Odell’s other starting quarterback, Baker Mayfield, failing to throw his son the ball, which was in fact, very funny (and still up!).
And there's all the general bizarre social media videos, rumors/distractions and this whole weird/comically poorly timed plane episode, which has yielded little in the way of answers except a statement that was nothing short of a masterclass in agent-speak from Beckham’s rep.
This is all to say that this is not the first article about Odell Beckham Jr. and will absolutely not be the last. He is, and you can't understate it, the nucleus upon which we all orbit in this content universe. This is likely why, despite what some might interpret as logical red flags, Odell Beckham Jr. continues to be a highly coveted and, more importantly, discussed NFL player.
Which, to bring it back to an earlier point, is why this article is about Odell Beckham Jr.
