Titans RB Derrick Henry doesn’t need to dress up for Halloween because he’s already the King disguised as a QB, disguised as a bulldozer.
Henry rejected the narrative that RBs can’t win MVP and decided to take matters into his own hands in Week 7 — literally. He tossed a 5-yard touchdown to tight end MyCole Pruitt (good for his second career passing touchdown) against the Chiefs the week after scorching the Bills with three TDs and 143 yards.
So just how good is this man?
Henry:
Leads the league league in carries (191), rushing yards (869), yards per game (124.1) and rushing touchdowns (10)
Is a dual-threat (maybe triple with his TD pass) with 1,023 all-purpose yards
Owns more rushing TDs (10) than 30 of the 31 other NFL teams
Is on pace for a second-straight 2,000-yard rushing season, a feat NO other NFL player has ever done
Would rank 8th of all NFL *teams* in rushing yards
Has more rushing yards after contact than any player has rushing yards total
Boasts a career-high five-straight games of at least 100 rushing yards
Won two consecutive rushing titles the last two seasons
That’s pretty good, right? And now, on Sunday, he could break the 1,000-yard rushing mark if he breaks loose for 131 against the Indianapolis Colts.
