Paris Johnson Jr. is a mountain of a man who is somehow still growing. He has played in big ticket games at Ohio State all over the offensive line, but he stands to make a killing as a left tackle on Sundays. He was rumored to go to 72 different NFL teams as various QBs made it known that they wanted the Eiffel Tower protecting them this season. Not a bad start for a quarterback's best friend.
Position: Offensive tackle
School: Ohio State (Jr)
Measurables: 6'6, 313 lbs.
Combine notes: Threw up 29 reps at the bench press and ran a 5.03 second 40-yard dash at Ohio State's pro day.
Where he wins: Has excellent feet and athleticism to get him out of tough situations.
Areas for improvement: Can get beaten, and beaten up, by power rush moves.
Won the Anthony Muñoz Award as the best lineman in high school football in 2019. Made second-team All-Big Ten as a guard in 2021. Upgraded to first-team All-Big Ten and was a consensus All-American when he played left tackle in 2022. Had some of his best games against the toughest competition in Ohio State's many high stakes competitions. Even with the unfinished game, this dude mauls.
He can speak multiple languages including Chinese!
From hockey to gymnastics, to tee-ball, to wrestling, to soccer, to football, Johnson's mom Monica Daneils helped guide him through it all. He's a momma's boy and she's his rock. A beautiful relationship.
He created a foundation to help disabled veterans and disadvantaged student athletes. This dude is perfect.
Kyler gets his man! The Cardinals traded back up the board with the Lions in order to grab the dude that Kyler stanned for recently. Making the franchise QB happy is PRIORITY NUMBER ONE. Now Zona has their blindside starter for Week 1 and beyond. He needs some seasoning but the Cardinals are nowhere near a winning football team currently, so this could grow into something beautiful.
