NFL Week 4: Longshot Super Bowl Odds We're Looking At

Last year’s Super Bowl teams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs, are – no surprise – this season’s favorites, along with the new-look Los Angeles Rams.

But, if you want more bang for your buck, it’s worthwhile to check out teams further down the list showing promise.

So, let’s explore the NFL’s surprise 3-0 teams.

Carolina Panthers +6500 ($100 → $6,500)

QB Sam Darnold has our vote for comeback player of the year. After winning two games with the Jets last season, he already has three dubs. He went from third-worst in the league in completion percentage in 2020 (59.6) all the way up to 68.2% in Carolina so far. He’s also tossed three touchdowns and rushed for three proving his dual-threat ability.

The team sits top 10 in total yards per game (390.3) while the defense is No. 1 in yards allowed (191.0), leading in both pass defense (146.0) and rush defense (45.0), while second in points allowed (10.0). The Panthers lost two key players on both sides of the ball, CB Jaycee Horn and RB Christian McCaffrey. But with Darnold playing the way he is, this squad is a solid dark horse candidate.

Las Vegas Raiders +4500 ($100 → $4,500)

The Raiders lead the AFC West and show no signs of slowing down with QB Derek Carr atop the league in yards per game (1,203). Raider Nation’s offense has been dynamite, and holds first place in total yards per game (471.0), passing yards per game (379.7) and ties for 6th in points per game (30.0).

It hasn’t been the smoothest of sailing, including a close call against Miami in Week 3, but this team has proven themselves as one of the most resilient in the league.

Arizona Cardinals +3500 ($100 → $3,500)

Kyler Murray for MVP? In year 3, the dual-threat QB is proving himself with 1,005 passing yards (third-most in the NFL), a 76.5 completion percentage (third-best) and seven passing touchdowns (fifth-most). In addition, he’s rushed for a touchdown in each of his first three games, making him impossible to defend from the ground and air.

The win over the Jags wasn’t pretty last week, but teams prove their worth in the face of adversity. The Cards boast a high-powered offense posting 432.3 yards per game, good for second in the league, and are in the driver’s seat of their own fate.
