As we approach the end of the 2022 regular season in our fantasy leagues, it's time we bulk up our rosters for a (hopefully) very deep playoff run. Here are some of our favorite waiver wire adds ahead of Week 12.

Teams on bye in Week 12: Surprise! No byes this week!

Top Week 12 waiver wire adds

RB Latavius Murray (Broncos)

The Broncos are in an interesting spot right now. Second-year star running back Javonte Williams is out for the year. Veteran Melvin Gordon has been waived. Backup running back Chase Edmonds is set to miss "a lot of time" with a sprained ankle. Latavius Murray is the last man standing right now and might just be in for all of the work his frame can handle. According to FantasyPros, the Broncos have the fifth-easiest remaining strength of schedule for running backs.

Murray is available in 75.7% of ESPN leagues and 74% of Yahoo! leagues.

WR Darius Slayton (Giants)

Darius Slayton doesn't top the charts thanks to talent necessarily, but he could be in line for a big role moving forward. The New York Giants don't have any true WR1 (unless OBJ should return... but more on that later!), and now promising rookie Wan'Dale Robinson has torn his ACL and is done for the year. Through Slayton's career so far, he's averaging nearly 13 fantasy points per game in outings with six or more targets. Six-plus targets feels well within the realm of possibility given the current landscape of the team.

Slayton is available in 78.5% of ESPN leagues and 49% of Yahoo! leagues.

Chiefs D/ST

The Chiefs don't have the flashiest defense in the league, but they do have a lot of really nice pieces. Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, Darius Harris... and now, they get the holy grail of defensive matchups in Week 12 — the LA Rams. The reigning Super Bowl champs are allowing a league-high 11.4 fantasy points per game to opposing defenses.

Chiefs D/ST is available in 81.6% of ESPN leagues and 53% of Yahoo! leagues.

WR Odell Beckham Jr. (Unsigned)

OBJ is making visits around the league this week, with the Cowboys and his former team, the New York Giants, at the top of his list. When healthy, OBJ has tremendous upside. Now, we have to imagine he's more motivated than ever to make his mark. Don't go all-out in the quest to add him, but just know that there's some upside. He scored seven touchdowns over 11 games with the Rams to close out the 2022-23 season — as many as he'd scored over his previous 23 games with the Browns.

Beckham Jr. is available in 70% of ESPN leagues and 57% of Yahoo! leagues.

Who's droppable?

WR Kadarius Toney (Chiefs)

We've had enough of the Kadarius Toney roller coaster! His upside is tremendous. However, the ride is simply nauseating. It seemed like things were trending up with Toney in Kansas City, but after exiting Week 11 with a hamstring injury, we're done-zo.

TE Kyle Pitts (Falcons)

Falcons TE (and fantasy disappointment) Kyle Pitts suffered a knee injury in Week 11 and has officially been placed on IR. Per ESPN, sources indicate he's likely headed for surgery. It feels like it would make sense to sit him out for the rest of this lost season.

RB Jaylen Warren (Steelers)

Jaylen Warren has outplayed former first-round pick, Najee Harris, by a mile for most of 2022. However, it seems that threatening to send Harris to the bench lit a fire under him.
